I MET SOMEONE!!!!

SOMEONE TOTALLY AWESOME!

And yes, I met him on POF.

After all the sifting and crazies, I met someone normal and fun and awesome. I am so excited (you don’t even know). I cannot say I had a terrible time dating on the site. Actually, at times I found it fun, at times I found it frustrating, at times I found it annoying, sometimes I found it quite entertaining and sometimes it was the best ever. But yes, I admit, it was designed as a means to an end. The some interesting experiences were accidentally dating one guy for a month. I thought we were just hanging out, but he was telling his friends that we were full on boyfriend/girlfriend mode. According to me we were not. That ended awkwardly to say the least………or how about the guy I dated that shot himself in the face with a bee bee gun when he was in Gr. 8. Not only did he have a wandering glass eye, but he also had no real depth perseption and almost pushed me off the seawalk on multiple occasions. It was the ONLY time I lied on a date.

He said, “I HAD THE BEST TIME EVER, Want to go again?” and I said, “maybe?”, but what I really thought was, “HELLZ TO THE NO! You almost pushed me to my death dumba$$”

While I have hidden my profile, I can still look at the crazies pictures. And I am still considering continuing the blog. Actually the last two posts were created with the help of my new boyfriend. Which makes is all the funnier and pretty dang cool! 

WOOT to me!!!

Also all the best to those who are still looking. Be care, be persistent and be tough because this site is not for the faint of heart or the naive.

Lastly, it’s okay to be picky. Honestly, it’s a pretty important thing. You don’t want to pick badly because then you will be back and all your hard work will be wasted.

So, I have set my email preferences on POF so that no man over 40 may message me. Unfortunately, there are no preferences in the “meet me” feature (much like old school hot or not). Each person will see you profile pics and selects Yes, Maybe or No for “wants to meet” and then you get an email informing you of who “wants to meet”.

I got such an email today.

Or at least this is my experience:

• Thin = I could snap you like a twig (very, very, thin). Needs to eat a sandwich or some deep fried butter.
• Athletic = almost everyone, even if you are not athletic. (As a side note, I don’t think “athletic” should be a body type as being athletic is an attitude. The qualifier should be “Cut” or “Fit”)
• Average = Thin
• A few extra pounds = MASSIVE
